Grabaseat

Reverse Auction

The Grabaseat Reverse Auction is based on the flower markets that used to take place in Spitalfields, London. At the end of the market, in order to get rid of the excess stock, the auctionere would start at a price and count the price down until someone bid. The first bidder won the lot.

The grabaseat Reverse Auction posed a few teasers, sudden intense load on the servers and not being able to hold credit details among them.

Before any of that, we had to convince the business, and show the developers that it would work.

The quickest and most immotive way of doing that quickly was by dummying up clickable wireframes in Flash.

Attached are three of the wireframes, the initial, an iteration and the final before design and build were ok'd.

My input ended with the wireframing, but attached are screenshots that show the Reverse Auction is still going strong today.
